About the Languages Canada Annual Conference

A meeting place for our members, partners, and industry stakeholders

The Languages Canada Annual Conference has always been our flagship event, a meeting place for our members and other Canadian and international education partners and stakeholders to re-connect, share, learn, and collaborate.

The 17th Annual Conference kicks off on Wednesday, February 28 at the iconic Fairmont Hotel Vancouver with a casual welcome reception, followed by two full days of plenary and break-out sessions and ending with our closing reception on the evening of Friday, March 1. The association's Annual General Meeting takes place on Saturday, March 2.

Close to 200 delegates are expected to attend the 2024 Conference, including owners, directors, program managers, marketing staff and academic leaders from Canadian public and private language education programs; provincial and federal government officials; NGOs; invited international guests; Canadian Trade Commissioners; and other key influencers in the field of international education.

The event will feature plenary sessions and professional development workshops involving international presenters and covering a variety of topics, such as academic leadership, program innovation, management, sector issues, marketing and recruitment, as well as student experience and welfare.
