Automatically generate international student Letters of Acceptance that are easily verifiable by government

Introducing the Canadian LOA Verification System

With the Canadian LOA Verification System, Canadian educational institutions can generate and issue international student Letters of Acceptance that are easily verifiable by government, while continuing to use their existing institutional LOA templates and retaining full ownership of their data.

The Canadian LOA Verification System was developed by Languages Canada, in collaboration with well known and respected Canadian technology provider iCent, as the international education sector's solution to protect students, institutions and Canada from the misuse of LOAs to commit fraud.

Institutions issue LOAs

Canadian educational institutions generate LOAs through the Canadian LOA Verification System using their existing institutional templates. LOAs are created, issued and owned by institutions. A system-generated LOA ID number and standardized cover page are automatically appended.

LOAs are stored in the database

Any changes institutions make to their LOAs (i.e., cancellation, new LOA issued, etc.) are reflected in real time in the secure Canadian LOA Verification System database which is located in Canada.

Government officials verify LOAs

When international students provide their Letter of Acceptance as part of their visa application or present it at point of entry, government officials search the database by entering the LOA ID number, the student's last name and the student's date of birth (found on the standardized LOA cover page) into the web-based verification portal, canadaloaverification.org/verify
