Languages Canada at the Canada-Brazil Forum

This week, Languages Canada representatives met with international education practitioners, language education experts, senior policy-makers and industry leaders from both Canada and Brazil in São Paulo, Brazil, for the second Canada-Brazil Language Education and Workforce Forum.

The event provided a unique opportunity to engage in an open dialogue on the internationalization needs of Brazil – a key strategic partner for Canada – and Canada’s higher education system and labour force. Participants discussed opportunities to enhance and grow bilateral collaboration in higher education, research and innovation, and identified common solutions to support our mutual internationalization objectives.

The forum was co-organized by Languages Canada, Universities Canada, Colleges and Institutes Canada, Brazilian Association for International Education, FAUBAI (Associacao Brasileira de Educacao Internacional/Brazilian Association for International Education) and the Languages without Borders (Idiomas sem Frontieras) program of the Brazilian Ministry of Education, with the support and collaboration of the Canadian Consulate General in São Paulo and the government of Canada’s Global Opportunities for Associations program.
